Alignerr invites a Senior Machine Learning Expert to teach AI how to think by capturing step-by-step reasoning traces. This fully remote, hourly contract allows senior ML professionals to contribute to cutting-edge AI training on their own schedule.

You’ll author complex reasoning traces, structure tool use and decisions, mentor trace quality, and develop data strategies to improve model reliability across real-world tasks.

Qualifications

• Experienced ML professional with a strong background in model reasoning and training methodologies.
• Familiar with evaluation, fine-tuning, and training pipelines of large language models.
• Able to decompose complex, multi-step problems into clear, logical sequences.
• Strong written communication and ability to document reasoning clearly.

Responsibilities

• Author complex, high-fidelity reasoning traces documenting how an LLM should plan and execute tasks.
• Design traces capturing tool use, decisions, and multi-step problem solving.
• Review and mentor reasoning trace quality for clarity and logical rigor.
• Develop data strategies to improve LLM reliability in real-world scenarios.
• Apply ML architecture knowledge to produce training data that improves model performance.
• Work independently and asynchronously on a flexible schedule.
