Job summary

Upstart in the United States is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager - ML Data Enablement to lead a platform team owning the data lifecycle from source to inference. You’ll define strategy, operating model, and a roadmap to increase data evaluation velocity and reduce time-to-production for high-value data sources.

You’ll partner with ML, ML Platform, Data Platform, Procurement, and product engineering to turn data into a durable competitive advantage, building scalable infrastructure and strong

Qualifications

• Owned production data pipelines enabling offline training and online inference.
• Experience building and scaling data systems in modern stacks (Databricks/Spark, Python, SQL, AWS).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives spanning engineering, ML, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead ML Data Enablement platform team and set strategic direction.
• Improve data quality, governance, and observability across data lifecycles.
• Drive data onboarding, vendor integrations, and data contracts with SLA enforcement.
