Sedgwick, a leading risk and claims solutions partner, seeks a Senior Claims Specialist for medical malpractice and high-exposure claims. You will analyze complex cases, coordinate investigations, and manage reserves and settlements with a focus on cost efficiency and superior client service.

This role requires strong analytical and negotiation skills, experience in malpractice claims, and the ability to coordinate with legal counsel, adjusters, and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Licenses as required; professional certifications relevant to the line of business are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes complex or technically difficult medical malpractice claims; investigates and gathers information to determine exposure and resolves claims.
• Coordinates legal defense by managing attorney engagement and reviewing invoices; monitors counsel for compliance with client guidelines.
• Calculates reserves and monitors adequacy; suggests settlement strategies and presents structured proposals when appropriate.
• Represents the company in depositions, mediations, and trial monitoring as needed; communicates claim activity to clients.
