Qualifications

• 6 years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; licenses as required.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and processes complex medical malpractice claims; determines exposure and develops action plans.
• Conducts investigations and provides reports on new events, claims, and actions.
• Calculates reserves and monitors adequacy throughout claim life.
• Recommends settlement strategies; proposes structured settlements when appropriate.
• Coordinates legal defense by assigning attorneys and reviewing invoices.
• Uses cost containment techniques to reduce overall claim costs.
• Identifies fraud, subrogation, or recovery opportunities.
• Represent Sedgwick in depositions, mediations, and trials as needed.
• Maintains client communications and handles claim activity updates.
