Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, via Transplant Resource Solutions, is seeking a board-certified Senior Medical Director with transplant expertise to provide clinical leadership, guide strategy, and strengthen client and provider relationships.

This role supports business growth, evaluates Centers of Excellence, collaborates with stakeholders, and leads clinical and operational data analysis to improve quality and outcomes. Remote work across the U.S. is available.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and current, unrestricted license.
• Board certification through ABMS- or AOA-recognized board.
• 5+ years of clinical experience in transplantation, including patient care and program leadership.
• 5+ years in a physician leadership role.
• Experience analyzing clinical and operational data to improve quality and performance.
• Knowledge of NCQA, URAC, CMS, and state/federal regulations.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives.
• Experience with process improvement and innovation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and strategic guidance for transplant programs.
• Lead expert panel discussions and COE standards development.
• Educate internal teams, clients, and providers on industry trends.
• Support new business opportunities, renewals, and pricing through clinical consultation。
• Lead clinical discussions, case reviews, and performance reviews with clients.
• Build relationships with client medical directors and provider organizations.
• Participate in COE qualification and performance review activities.
• Analyze clinical and operational data to identify trends and improvements.
