Job summary

UnitedHealth Group’s Transplant Resource Solutions is seeking a board-certified Senior Medical Director with transplant expertise to provide clinical leadership, guide strategy, and drive quality across transplant programs. This physician leader will partner with client teams, providers and internal stakeholders to shape clinical policy and outcomes.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required
• Unrestricted physician license required
• ABMS- or AOA-recognized board certification required
• 5+ years of clinical transplant experience and leadership
• Experience analyzing clinical/operational data to improve quality and outcomes
• Knowledge of NCQA/URAC/CMS regulations and state/federal requirements
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive strategic initiatives

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and strategic guidance for transplant programs and initiatives
• Lead expert panel discussions and develop COE standards
• Educate internal teams, clients, and providers on industry trends and best practices
• Support new business opportunities, client renewals, and pricing strategy through clinical consultation
• Lead clinical discussions, case reviews, and performance reviews with clients
• Build relationships with client medical directors and provider organizations
• Participate in COE qualification and performance review activities
• Analyze clinical and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Represent the organization at industry conferences and committees
