Merck is seeking a Global Senior Director Medical Affairs (Pulmonary Hypertension) to lead the Global Medical and Scientific Affairs aspect of the Value & Implementation plans, with primary responsibility for the United States while supporting ROW. Qualifications

  • MD, PhD or PharmD with medical expertise (MD preferred).
  • Experience in country/region medical affairs or clinical development.
  • Strong prioritization and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across divisions in a matrix environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of the annual V&I plan with US focus and ROW support.
  • Translate global scientific platforms into actionable Medical Value Narratives (MVNs) and engage country stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Product Development sub-teams to drive strategy, outcomes and execution.
  • Organize global expert-input events to inform development and implementation of new medicines or vaccines.
  • Bridge global strategy with local execution and monitor external environment with CI.
