Zekai is recruiting experienced mechanical engineers to join a leading AI lab's GenAI team. You will review mechanical engineering tasks, author clear instruction specs, and develop worked reference solutions to guide model outputs.

The role emphasizes practical ownership, design reviews, and collaboration with research teams in a remote US setting. Initial engagement lasts 2–3 months with a strong possibility of extension.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience in industry with ownership of real designs or systems.
• Genuine ownership of work including design reviews, CFD/FEA, and production release.
• Proficiency with engineering tools and relevant codes/standards (ASME, ASTM, ISO, GD&T).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus but not required.
• Hands-on use of large language models in professional work and strong judgment.

Responsabilités

• Data QA and reviews of tasks and model outputs for correctness and safety.
• Write instruction specs and reference solutions to define what 'correct' looks like.
• Design benchmarks and evaluation sets across mechanical domains and tools.
• Calibrate standards with client researchers to maintain consistency.
