Job summary

Strategic Mission Critical seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to direct mechanical design for mission critical data center projects. You will drive concept discussions, develop plans and specifications for permitting and construction, and coordinate with electrical, fire protection and other disciplines.

You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to developing design standards while interfacing with clients to ensure timely project delivery, with travel 10-20% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or architectural engineering with a mechanical focus, or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of HVAC design experience, preferably with Revit.
• Experience leading mechanical design teams and interfacing with clients is strongly preferred.
• Experience with detailed mechanical calculations and calculation software is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and execute mechanical design for mission critical projects, coordinating with multidiscipline teams.
• Produce detailed design documents using Revit and related tools.
• Review and perform hydronic and airside calculations for multiple systems.
• Lead the execution of design standards and quality control practices.
• Mentor and train engineers, designers and modelers to grow mechanical design knowledge.
