Socket.dev is seeking a Senior MEAN Developer for a REMOTE role based in New York. The ideal candidate will work within an international organization, collaborating with an agile team to design and implement robust MEAN stack solutions.

The position supports both contractor and employee arrangements and requires strong English communication. The role emphasizes front-end and back-end development with modern JavaScript, Angular, Node.js, MongoDB, AWS, and caching strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or university degree required.
• 5+ years of experience with JavaScript frameworks and RESTful web services.
• At least 2 years of Angular development experience (ag-grid, redux a plus).
• 2+ years Node.js and MongoDB (with Mongoose).
• Experience with AWS cloud services and Redis caching.
• Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS for mobile-ready UI.
• Experience with Elastic Search for search APIs.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Work with an agile team to design and develop front-end and back-end solutions.
• Translate designs and business requirements into high-quality code.
• Develop cross-browser and cross-platform front-end web solutions including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and latest technologies.
• Communicate technical solutions with trade-offs, risks, and benefits.
• Develop prototypes for easy-to-navigate user interfaces matching accessibility standards.
