Job summary

Servier is seeking a Senior Manager, External Manufacturing in a US remote role with travel to Boston. You will oversee drug substance and API procurement, finished dose packaging, quality control, and cross-functional MSAT/QA efforts. Lead CMOs, manage contracts, and drive continuous improvement across global supply chains.

The role requires strong leadership, program management, and deep knowledge of GMP, with 25% travel to meet business needs in US and international sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven experience in managing and negotiating contracts.
• Effective communication with ability to influence at all levels.
• Strong experience in multi-functional team roles using risk management processes.
• Background in protecting Confidentiality, Intellectual Property and Know-How.
• Experience with process scale-up, tech transfer and analytical techniques preferred.
• Well versed in FDA, EU and global cGMP compliance.
• Experience leading cross-functional, cross-continental teams.

Responsibilities

• Interface with CMOs for contract negotiation and obligations.
• Coordinate communications with support groups for manufacturing needs.
• Assist CMOs with problem resolution and CI programs.
• Develop right-first-time culture to avoid undesirable events.
• Lead ORM/JSC meetings with CMOs and track KPIs.
• Ensure CMOs’ quality, safety and environmental systems are effective.
• Monitor supplier concerns and coordinate financial relationships (POs, invoicing).
• Lead operational excellence initiatives with CMOs and internal teams.
