Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group (CSAA IG) is seeking a Sr. Litigation Specialist to manage litigated claims through conclusion, including trial, for auto and homeowner's lines. This remote role requires collaboration with defense counsel and the ability to approve settlements within authority limits.

The candidate will analyze liability, damages, and coverage, coordinate discovery plans, and lead negotiations with opposing counsel. Travel and extended hours may be required; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Total 6–7 years of claims experience with a senior casualty role or equivalent complex casualty/litigation experience.
• At least 1 year of litigation experience.
• Ability to handle minor to complex litigated claims.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigated claims through conclusion, including trial, for auto/ homeowners losses.
• Provide input and direction to defense counsel and negotiate settlements.
• Authorize defense budgets and monitor outside counsel costs.
• Review liability, damages, coverage, and risk to determine settlement authority up to $50,000.
• Prepare recommendations for litigated cases for executive review.
