Job summary

Armada is seeking a Senior Mechanical Systems / Design Engineer to lead cooling and hydraulic distribution for modular AI data center platforms. Remote location in the US, with collaboration across mechanical, thermal, controls, and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing mechanical cooling, hydraulic distribution, or mission-critical systems.
• Experience with data centers, semiconductor facilities, or high-reliability environments.
• Strong knowledge of pipe sizing, flow, pressure-drop, and system balancing.
• Experience owning P&IDs, equipment schedules, and instrumentation requirements.
• Familiarity with chilled-water, glycol, or process-fluid systems.
• Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end mechanical cooling and fluid-distribution architecture for modular data center platforms.
• Define cooling boundaries at primary, secondary, and rack levels.
• Develop pumping, flow-control, and pressure-management strategies.
• Align heat-rejection equipment with distribution piping and CDU interfaces.
• Create scalable architectures for multiple product configurations.
• Design for manufacturing and serviceability, with revision control.
• Collaborate with controls engineers to define measurement and alarms.
• Support commissioning-first design and field troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with OEMs, fabricators, and internal teams to minimize risks.
