Job summary

Armada is seeking a Senior Mechanical Systems / Design Engineer to lead the design of liquid cooling and mechanical distribution for modular AI data center platforms. This role blends mechanical design, hydraulic engineering, thermal infrastructure, manufacturing, controls, and commissioning.

You will own the mechanical distribution architecture, translate requirements into repeatable designs, and collaborate with global teams to deploy across sites.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing mechanical cooling, hydraulic systems or related infra.
• Experience with data centers or high-reliability environments.
• Strong knowledge of pipe sizing, pressure drops, and flow balancing.
• Owns P&IDs, equipment schedules, and instrumentation requirements.
• Experience with commissioning, maintenance, and field service.
• Ability to coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, and field teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end mechanical cooling and fluid-distribution architecture.
• Develop hydraulic models for water and glycol systems.
• Define valve strategies and control concepts.
• Review vendor drawings and ensure compliance.
• Design for manufacturing and serviceability.
• Support commissioning and field startups.
• Collaborate with controls engineers on sequences.
• Develop repeatable interconnect strategies for piping and manifolds.
