Job summary

Lucidworks is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to own corporate infrastructure, design and operate secure, scalable systems. This fully remote role partners with IT leadership, security, and business stakeholders to scope and deliver infrastructure projects.

You will drive reliability, manage identity, endpoints, network, and SaaS integration, while applying Gen AI tools wisely and maintaining documentation and incident response practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in a startup or similarly sized organization with hands-on IT infrastructure
• Own deployment, maintenance, integration, and troubleshooting of all corporate systems including hardware, software, and networking
• Deep hands-on experience administering Okta (SAML/SCIM) and Google Workspace
• Ability to ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures
• Proficiency in applying IT security knowledge across corporate systems with documented processes
• Experience with virtualization, cloud computing, and containerization; Linux and Windows server administration
• Ability to collaborate with management and internal partners to implement sustainable IT solutions
• Skill in translating automation and scripting requirements into AI prompts for IT workflows

Responsibilities

• Own IT systems engineering for corporate infrastructure and ensure reliable, secure systems
• Design and improve IT infrastructure including identity management, endpoints, network, and SaaS integration
• Maintain high system reliability through documentation, peer review, and reducing technical debt
• Own operational health of systems, contribute to SLA/uptime targets, monitor, alert, and respond to incidents
• Plan and deliver infrastructure projects with IT leadership, security, and stakeholders, communicating risks clearly
• Apply Gen AI tools to accelerate administration, scripting, and documentation with safeguards for credentials
• Provide guidance to IT staff and promote documentation and continuous improvement
