Job summary

First Citizens Bank seeks a Senior IT Manager - Infrastructure Cloud Platforms to lead Private/Public Cloud and Container environments (VCF, AVS, Azure, AWS, OpenShift). You will drive reliability, automation, and governance while guiding a team of infrastructure professionals in a highly regulated setting.

Collaborating with Architecture, Security, Risk, and Application teams, you will ensure platform resilience, incident response, and continuous improvement across hybrid-cloud operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 8 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 12 years' experience in Applications development, analysis or engineering
• Experience supporting VCF, Azure, AWS and OpenShift platforms in a mid-sized/large enterprise
• Ability to communicate with stakeholders, auditors, vendors and leadership
• Strong operational controls and risk management in regulated environments

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of infrastructure teams across Private/Public Cloud and Containers
• Supervise and develop system admins and engineers
• Ensure high availability through monitoring, incident management and capacity planning
• Oversee lifecycle management including patching, upgrades, and decommissioning
• Coordinate major incident response during outages and recovery events
• Partner with cybersecurity and risk teams to enforce secure configurations
• Establish infrastructure standards, change controls, and documentation
• Manage vendor relationships for software and support services
• Contribute to strategic planning for modernization and automation
• Support audits by providing evidence and remediation timelines
