Job summary

Nova Music is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, iOS to lead the ongoing development of our native iOS app for teachers, students, and families. You will code in Swift/SwiftUI, integrate with the Supabase backend, and own core mobile experiences including schedules, notifications, and subscriptions.

You will shape iOS architecture, collaborate with web/backend teams, and improve testing, accessibility, performance, and release processes.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional iOS development experience.
• Proficient in Swift and SwiftUI with modern concurrency.
• Experience building API-backed apps with authentication, local state, and resilient networking.
• Knowledge of accessibility, performance, testing, and release management.
• Familiarity with StoreKit, push notifications, deep links, or similarly sensitive platform capabilities.
• Ability to make architecture decisions while focusing on the customer experience.
• Collaborates across product, design, and backend engineering.
• Experience using AI coding agents for production work.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship native iOS experiences for teachers, students, and families.
• Build maintainable SwiftUI features that feel at home on iPhone and iPad.
• Own mobile architecture, state management, networking, authentication, and local persistence.
• Develop reliable StoreKit subscription, push-notification, and deep-link workflows.
• Work with web engineers on Supabase APIs, shared data models, permissions, and backend behavior.
• Improve automated tests, accessibility, performance, crash prevention, and release confidence.
• Manage the technical work required for TestFlight and App Store releases.
• Use customer feedback and mobile product data to guide improvements after launch.
