Job summary

Google Cloud's Mandiant team seeks a Principal Incident Response Security Consultant to lead advanced incident response engagements across cloud and on-prem environments.

You will manage threat hunts, digital forensics, and crisis management, delivering high-impact investigations for enterprise clients with minimal guidance. Excellent advisory and communication skills required, with experience in cloud security and incident response leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience managing enterprise systems or networks.
• Experience conducting threat hunting in various environments.
• Proficient with forensics suites such as XWays and TSK.
• Ability to communicate investigative findings to technical staff, leadership, legal counsel, and clients.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technology stacks quickly.

Responsibilities

• Manage incident response engagements, threat-hunting operations with minimal guidance.
• Perform digital forensics, host-based live response, network traffic analysis, and malware triage across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Automate forensic tasks and build team utility tools.
• Oversee project lifecycle for multiple engagements including planning, budgeting, and quality control.
• Draft investigation reports and present findings to client stakeholders and leadership.
