Job summary

Groq is seeking an experienced Procurement professional who will own end-to-end sourcing and purchasing for the infrastructure and networking hardware that enable Groq’s compute deployments. You will partner with Engineering and Finance to build repeatable procurement frameworks and improve supply resilience while executing day-to-day purchasing.

The role is senior IC with no direct reports, reporting to the Head of FinOps, and offers a hands-on build-it-yourself environment with ~70% execution

Qualifications

• Deep experience in direct procurement and strategic sourcing for technically complex hardware or infrastructure.
• Ability to translate engineering requirements and BOMs into sourcing actions.
• Strong vendor management, lead-time, and supply continuity understanding.

Responsibilities

• Own procurement for networking and data center infrastructure including BOMs.
• Lead sourcing and purchasing for racks, control nodes, and cooling hardware.
• Negotiate MSAs, SOWs, warranty terms, and NDAs with Legal.
• Manage day-to-day procurement in Zip and NetSuite (POs, approvals, tracking).
• Develop spares strategy with Engineering and establish stocking policies.
• Forecast purchasing needs in cadence with Finance and Engineering.
