Job summary

Belcan is seeking a Remote Electrical Hardware Design Engineer for a key US defense client. You will design PCB/CCA layouts, analyze requirements, and develop design artifacts for validation.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform schematic capture, board layout, and cable/harness design, and ensure 16+ layer boards meet mechanical and electrical constraints. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years PCB layout and routing experience (Mentor Graphics Xpedition/DxDesigner mandatory).
• 7–10 years designing high-speed digital and mixed-signal PCBs from schematic netlists.
• Experience with schematic capture, rules, layout, DRC/DFM, fabrication drawings, and assembly drawings.
• Boards 16+ layers using buried and blind vias.
• Experience with cables and harness development.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design circuit architectures to support product verification and validation.
• Interpret test requirements and electrical test results.
• Design PCB and layout, schematic capture, and board development.
• Use CAD or other PCB design software for PCB assembly and schematic capture.
• Perform schematic capture and PCB board layout.
• Analyze and resolve design issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for mechanical and assembly considerations.
