Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Senior Consultant for OSC/Lewin to support payment model implementation contracts. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, oversee analytics, and drive policy analysis while developing new client relationships and contracts.

Remote work is allowed nationwide, with in-office requirements in Minneapolis or Washington, DC as applicable. Ideal candidates have 6+ years with SQL/R/Python/SAS, 4+ years in federal health policy, and a proven record of leading

Qualifications

• 6+ years using SQL, R, Python, or SAS in a research, consulting, or business setting.
• 4+ years with federal health policy issues, including Medicare/Medicaid value-based payments.
• Ability to translate complex findings to non-technical audiences in writing and speaking.
• Experience leading cross-functional project teams.
• Experience implementing or evaluating value-based payment programs.
• Experience with Snowflake or Databricks environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams to ensure delivery of strategic initiatives.
• Engage, develop, and cultivate existing client relationships through policy consultation.
• Lead payment model operations and analytics for value-based care initiatives.
• Develop payment calculations, conduct financial and trend analyses, and perform ad-hoc analyses.
• Mentor staff to develop analytical problem-solving skills.
• Maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Query large healthcare claims databases and support design of Medicare/Medicaid models.
