Job summary

GNY Insurance Companies seeks a Senior Guidewire Developer for Claims Center who will own the Guidewire platform, integrations and cloud-based implementations. The role requires mentoring junior developers, leading complex technical work and coordinating with multiple teams across locations.

The ideal candidate has extensive Guidewire experience, strong Java/XML/SQL skills and a background in the Property & Casualty domain. Travel up to 25% to NJ/NY locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in IT with 7 years in Guidewire Claims Center (Integration/Configuration).
• Minimum 6 years in Property & Casualty domain.
• Minimum 2 years with Guidewire APIs, Integration views and Product Models.
• Minimum 1 year with Guidewire Cloud Platform.
• Minimum 5 years with tools like Jira, Git, Bitbucket.
• Experience with RESTful, Batch Processing, Message Queues and Event Processing.
• Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD for Claims deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development and unit testing for Guidewire solutions.
• Provide technical leadership for Guidewire configuration and integration.
• Manage scope, estimates, plans and delivery.
• Mentor junior developers and ensure standards.
• Coordinate onsite/offshore collaboration for user stories.
• Lead integration solution design including Batch, Queues and Event Messaging.
• Establish traceable unit/integration tests and ensure quality metrics.
