Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 5+ years of grants management or related experience.
• Experience managing state or federally funded grant programs.
• Knowledge of grant administration principles and funding regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a primarily remote environment.
• Willingness to travel 10-15%, up to 25% in first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Lead the administration of assigned grant programs from award through closeout.
• Review complex grant applications, agreements, budgets, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and program-specific requirements.
• Monitor grant performance, expenditures, deliverables, and reporting deadlines.
• Prepare and review financial, operational, and programmatic reports.
• Provide guidance on grant requirements, regulations, and program compliance.
• Coordinate with state agencies, grant recipients, and internal project teams.
• Maintain complete and accurate grant records and supporting documentation.
• Support grant monitoring activities, audits, and compliance reviews.
• Identify and resolve complex grant administration issues; recommend process improvements.
• Travel to central South Dakota, as needed.
