Job summary

FirstCarbon Solutions (FCS), an ADEC Innovation, is seeking a Senior Sustainability Project Manager, Lead GHG Verifier. Remote within the US, you will lead third-party verification of GHG inventories and related data under CARB, WA Ecology, Oregon, and TCR programs.

You will design compliance roadmaps, perform LLCA/EPD tasks, and drive decarbonization strategies while supporting ESG reporting and business development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Two (2) years of related experience.
• Accredited as a lead verifier under an environmental regulatory program such as CARB MRR, LCFS, WA Ecology, or Oregon DEQ.
• Experience in greenhouse gas accounting, life-cycle assessment, or environmental metrics accounting.
• Managing end-to-end sustainability reporting, including project management and publication of annual reports, ratings agency submissions, and other disclosures.
• Leading verification projects under GHG programs (CARB, WA Ecology, Oregon, TCR).
• Experience in LCA, including modeling in software such as LCA For Experts and producing EPDs.
• Experience working with GHG programs, protocols, and regulations.
• 10–20% domestic travel required.

Responsibilities

• Lead verification projects under CARB, WA Ecology, Oregon, TCR, and other GHG programs.
• Design compliance roadmaps for SB253/SB261 disclosure requirements.
• Perform GHG accounting, LCAs, and integrate data into Scope 3 inventories.
• Develop decarbonization strategies and support ESG reporting across standards.
• Lead client debriefs, meetings, and contribute to business development via proposals and webinars.
• Oversee internal audits with knowledge of ANSI standards.
• Manage sustainability reporting, annual reports, and regulatory disclosures.
• Develop templates, training materials, and processes for the team.
• Supervise junior staff and cross-functional teams.
