Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Senior GCP Architect (Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer II) to lead the architecture and delivery of secure, scalable Google Cloud solutions for Public Sector customers. This remote role within the continental United States emphasizes modernization and strategic advisory across engineering teams.

The successful candidate will mentor junior staff, guide technical decisions, and coordinate complex initiatives while meeting tight timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree or 12+ years of related experience in cloud infrastructure or consulting.
• 8+ years in enterprise or government cloud architecture with hands-on software development experience (Python or C++).
• Experience leading cloud deployments, migrations, or modernization programs and advising executives.
• Experience designing/operating Google Cloud infrastructure, networking, security, data, apps, and Kubernetes services.
• Current Google Cloud professional certification(s) or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% on average.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and delivery of secure, scalable Google Cloud solutions for Public Sector customers.
• Act as senior technical advisor to engineers, leaders, and executives; evaluate tradeoffs and drive strategies.
• Provide hands-on engineering leadership through coding, prototyping, and validation.
• Lead modernization, migration, and transformation initiatives; manage risks and dependencies.
• Coordinate with client teams to resolve complex issues and mentor junior architects.
