Job summary

Deloitte seeks a Senior GCP Architect (Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer II) to lead secure, scalable Google Cloud solutions for Public Sector customers from a remote US-based position. You will guide modernization efforts, set architecture standards, and mentor engineers across delivery teams.

Responsibilities include hands-on leadership, architecture reviews, and collaboration with client engineers and executives to resolve complex technical issues.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree or 12+ years in cloud infra/consulting.
• 8+ years in enterprise or government cloud architecture with hands-on software development (Python/C++).
• Experience leading cloud deployments, migrations, or modernization programs.
• Designing/operating Google Cloud infrastructure, networking, security, data, apps, and Kubernetes.
• Current Google Cloud Professional certification(s).
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Authorized to work in the United States without Sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and delivery of secure, scalable Google Cloud solutions for Public Sector clients.
• Act as senior technical advisor to customers, evaluate tradeoffs, and guide integration, infra, security, networking, and app strategies.
• Provide hands-on engineering leadership through coding, prototyping, and validation.
• Drive cloud modernization, migration, and transformation initiatives; manage risks and dependencies.
• Coordinate with client teams to resolve complex issues; review deliverables and mentor junior staff.
