Job summary

Kevala Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack to join our team. You will develop and maintain front end and back end code for cloud-based web applications, architecting front end features and APIs, and learning to operate our microservices environments.

The role requires 7+ years of experience building modern web apps, a CS degree or equivalent, and excellent communication. This fully remote position pays a base salary with equity, within the US.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building modern, framework-based web applications across the full stack.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product and project managers to plan and develop product features in the Kevala K+ platform.
• Dive into problems facing the US electric grid, helping visualize forecasted loads on the grid.
• Work in a Google Cloud-based tech stack including TypeScript, Svelte, Python, Django, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kubernetes.
• Provide technical leadership in architecting, maintaining, testing, and monitoring front-end web applications.
• Set a high bar for productivity, cooperation, and code quality as measured by team output.
• Help hire, mentor, and develop team members.
