Job summary

Intellias seeks a senior software engineer with strong Android/Kotlin and Java/Spring Boot experience to own features end-to-end. You will design interfaces, develop mobile functionality, and work with backend, cloud, and data teams to ensure robust releases.

You will emphasize offline support, data synchronization, and security, while mentoring peers and shaping architectural decisions across projects. This role requires strong English and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong production experience across Android/Kotlin and Java/Spring Boot, with senior-level expertise in at least one area.
• Strong knowledge of Kotlin, Android SDK, and modern native Android development.
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and Kotlin coroutines.
• Experience with MVVM/MVI, Clean Architecture, and multi-module apps.
• Familiarity with Dagger/Hilt and Android Jetpack components.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON serialization, and offline sync.
• Java and Spring Boot development experience, including microservices.
• SQL, JPA/Hibernate, and relational databases; performance tuning.
• Event-driven solutions using Kafka or similar messaging.
• Docker, Kubernetes, Azure (AKS), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Testing: unit/integration/UI testing with JUnit, Mockito, etc.
• Security: OAuth2/JWT, TLS, secrets management, OWASP.
• English: upper-intermediate or higher.
• Nice to have: GraphQL, Redis, NoSQL, Terraform, DDD, CQRS, Event Sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of product features from design to release and production support.
• Develop new mobile functionality and supporting backend services.
• Translate business needs into reliable technical solutions.
• Design clear interfaces and data flows between mobile, backend, databases, and messaging.
• Implement offline behavior and data synchronization mechanisms.
• Maintain high engineering standards with tests, code reviews, and static analysis.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues across application layers.
• Improve app performance, stability, security, and scalability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and improvements to existing solutions.
• Identify and address technical debt as part of ongoing development.
• Support automated build, delivery, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with mobile, backend, cloud, product, and cross-functional teams.
• Share knowledge and mentor other engineers where appropriate.
