Job summary

Giga Energy seeks a Fire Alarm Design Engineer to lead fire alarm, detection, smoke control, and life safety systems for data center facilities. You will manage multiple projects, ensure code compliance, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with clients and AHJs to defend design intent.

This hands-on role requires deep data center exposure, Revit/AutoCAD proficiency, and a track record of delivering compliant, high-quality systems on fast-paced teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing fire alarm systems.
• NICET Fire Alarm Systems (FAS) Level III or IV certification.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience on data center projects and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical design leadership for fire alarm and life safety systems.
• Design fire alarm systems using manufacturers' equipment for data centers.
• Coordinate with AHJs, clients, and other engineers on project designs.
• Develop sequences of operation, riser diagrams, and specifications.
• Mentor junior engineers and drafters on code requirements and best practices.
• Review drawings for code compliance and design intent.
