Job summary

McBride Consulting is seeking a Senior Financial Consultant & Auditor to support federal financial statement audits, primarily USACE Civil Works and Military Programs, with potential progression to Manager level. You will lead audit workstreams, perform internal control testing and testing procedures, and advise agency leadership on NFRs and remediation strategies.

The role requires active Secret clearance, CPA or CISA, and a strong background in GAO/FAM, GAGAS, FASAB/USSGL, and OMB Circulars.

Qualifications

• Active security clearance (Secret) required.
• CPA or CISA certification required; CDFM/CGFM a strong plus but not required.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred (MBA/MPA/MPPA).

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute end-to-end audit lifecycles for USACE/DoD/Federal clients.
• Perform first-level quality reviews of audit workpapers and supervise junior staff.
• Advise senior government officials on NFRs and remediation strategies.
• Evaluate ICOFR and computer-based financial systems per OMB circulars.
• Support and lead risk assessments and develop CAPs for regulatory compliance.
