Job summary

Farm Family in Massachusetts seeks a Sr. Field Claims Specialist for a remote, field-heavy role. You will conduct on-site inspections, assess damage, and prepare accurate estimates with diagrams and photos, coordinating with policyholders and contractors.

The position requires 5+ years in property claims, a high school diploma, and a valid license or ability to obtain one. Lifting up to 80 pounds and travel within the territory are expected, with base pay in the MA range and full benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in property claims, property inspection, construction, or related field.
• Demonstrated experience producing detailed and accurate estimates.
• Valid state license or ability to obtain one, as required.
• Regular physical activity, including climbing ladders, lifting up to 80 pounds, and working in awkward positions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site property inspections to assess damage.
• Identify cause and scope of damage and document findings thoroughly.
• Prepare accurate repair or replacement estimates with diagrams, photos, and supporting docs.
• Evaluate construction components, materials, and repair methods with attention to detail.
• Identify investigative needs related to damage assessment and escalate findings as appropriate.
• Recognize potential fraud indicators and report observations to claims leadership.
• Assess salvage or subrogation potential and document relevant information.
• Complete basic risk observations for underwriting and claims awareness.
• Communicate inspection findings and estimates clearly to policyholders and internal claims partners.
• Maintain professional on-site interactions with insureds, agents, and contractors as needed.
• Ensure inspection reports and estimates are completed timely and accurately.
