Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Senior Technical Architect to support system integration design, documentation, and interoperability testing on a federal data migration program. This fully remote role spans 12 months with potential for follow-on work across Peraton programs.

You will collaborate with the Technical Architect SME to define source-to-target mappings for ETL pipelines, API endpoint specs, data access patterns, and create architecture diagrams and specs for review and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree with 12+ years or Master’s with 10+ years or assoc + 16+ years experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Extensive experience in systems architecture on federal IT programs.
• Experience designing API integration architectures and data flow documentation.
• Strong knowledge of federal IT governance frameworks and hybrid AWS standards.
• Experience with interoperability testing design and technical documentation.
• Experience developing production migration runbooks with cutover steps, validation checks, and rollback procedures.
• Familiarity with Git or equivalent version control platforms.

Responsibilities

• Support the Technical Architect SME in system architecture design and integration planning.
• Lead the design and documentation of source-to-target mappings for ETL pipelines.
• Design the application integration architecture for federal data, including API endpoint specs and data access patterns.
• Develop and maintain architecture documentation including diagrams and API specifications.
• Lead interoperability testing architecture design and test coverage.
• Support the production migration runbook with cutover steps and rollback procedures.
• Conduct technical reviews of code and pipeline deployments; enforce peer reviews.
• Support compliance validation from a technical perspective.
