Job summary

Trileaf Corporation is seeking a Senior Project Scientist to conduct field and office-based environmental due diligence on commercial real estate projects, including Phase I and II assessments and property condition reviews. The role involves data collection, sampling, and drafting technical reports under senior staff guidance.

This remote position requires travel to project sites, interaction with regulators and stakeholders, and strict adherence to QA/QC and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented individual with strong work-product quality
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Effective verbal and written communication and report writing
• Proficient with standard office and reporting software
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Experience with Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments
• In-depth understanding of building systems
• 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification

Responsibilities

• Travel to project locations for observations and photos (roughly 1 day per week)
• Coordinate with clients (FSOs) and regulators
• Interview site contacts, regulators, and stakeholders via in-person, phone, and email
• Order and analyze government records related to environmental conditions
• Perform regulatory agency file reviews
• Review databases for local, state, and federal environmental data
• Review subcontractor reports for scope accuracy and submission to regulators
• Draft standardized reports synthesizing findings from field work and research
• QA/QC deliverables to ensure quality and timeliness
• Maintain thorough field notes and project documentation
• Train new hires and provide cross-training on field methods and reporting standards
• Adhere to all site-specific safety protocols
