Job summary

Stevens seeks an Enterprise AI Solutions Architect on an hourly contract to collaborate with enterprise customers, shaping AI use cases, and designing complete solutions across apps, data, APIs, and cloud services. You will lead architecture sessions, evaluate options, and guide production-ready deployments with Stevens delivery teams.

You will work primarily within AWS (Bedrock/SageMaker), evaluate AI platforms, and balance cost, security, and reliability while staying close to implementation

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience across software/solutions architecture or technical consulting.
• Experience delivering enterprise applications, platforms, or distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience building generative AI apps beyond prototypes.
• Strong AWS architecture experience with Bedrock and SageMaker.
• Experience with AI platforms including OpenAI and Claude.
• Knowledge of security, governance, reliability, and cost in production systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and architecture sessions with enterprise customers.
• Translate business problems into practical architectures and plans.
• Design enterprise AI apps using LLMs, RAG, agents, tools, data, APIs, and cloud services.
• Integrate AI capabilities with existing enterprise systems and data sources.
• Architect solutions within AWS including Bedrock and SageMaker.
• Evaluate models, platforms, and approaches per use case.
• Guide build-vs-buy decisions in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.
• Define architecture across services, data, model infra, integrations, identity, observability, and cloud.
• Ensure security, privacy, governance, scalability, reliability, performance, and cost.
• Collaborate with engineers to translate decisions into working software.
• Review approaches, identify risks, and navigate tradeoffs.
• Present recommendations to executives and stakeholders.
