Job summary

EngRadar / Mirantis is seeking a Senior Software Engineer focusing on Secrets Management and PKI to design, implement, and secure credential systems in Campbell, CA, with remote options. You will build enterprise-grade solutions using Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, and Azure Key Vault, and manage PKI lifecycles.

You will collaborate across security, infrastructure, and applications, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on infrastructure and security systems.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with secrets management platforms (Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault, or equivalent).
• Strong expertise in PKI, certificate management, and X.509 standards.
• Proficiency in cryptographic concepts, encryption protocols, and secure key management practices.
• Experience with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and cryptographic hardware integration.
• Solid programming skills in Go, Python, Java, or C++.
• Deep understanding of IAM principles and practices.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools and automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-grade secrets management solutions.
• Develop and maintain PKI systems, including certificate lifecycle management.
• Architect credential rotation mechanisms and automated provisioning workflows.
• Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to integrate solutions.
• Conduct security audits and vulnerability assessments of implementations.
• Develop runbooks and best practice guides for operations.
• Troubleshoot certificate management, key storage, and access issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote security-focused practices.
