Job summary

BB&E is seeking a senior engineer to provide technical SME support for AFCEC/CFSD at JBSA-Lackland, with remote work options. The role emphasizes design reviews, DoD compliance, and collaboration with government PMs on complex A&E and construction deliverables.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years designing/construction experience, a PE license, and strong written and verbal communication. Travel to Air Force bases and potential HQ AFCEC visits are involved.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a NACI/CAC.
• Experience with DoD/AF engineering and design regulations.
• Experience reviewing technical deliverables and submittals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME support and conduct design reviews and recommendations.
• Review RFIs, A&E and construction submittals.
• Advise Government Project Managers on technical deliverables to ensure DoD/industry standard compliance.
• Develop and present technical presentations and training.
• Travel to Air Force bases for TDY; occasional HQ AFCEC trips.
