Job summary

Purge Masters is seeking an Embedded Systems Electrical Engineer/Principal to join a remote team with travel to SFE facilities. You will contribute to electronic machine controls for welding machines and portable tools, handling design, testing, and validation with the product development team.

The role requires deep experience in embedded systems, circuit design, and hands-on problem solving across hardware and software, with opportunities to influence product direction and schedules.

Qualifications

• BSEE or equivalent with extensive software engineering experience.
• 10–15 years’ experience in software design (C++ or Python) in manufacturing.
• 10–15 years’ experience in digital and analog circuitry design.
• Proficient with Altium and Microsoft Office applications.
• Project-oriented background with ability to move from concept to finished product.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement embedded software from concept to final execution focused on product requirements.
• Evolve the product over its life cycle by releasing software versions and addressing customer issues.
• Provide electrical/electronics design for new products and collaborate across departments from concept to finished product.
• Define/Support PCB design layouts.
