Job summary

ArchKey Solutions LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator who can work fully remote or be assigned to a local office. The role supports preconstruction, prepares estimates, reviews bids, and mentors junior estimators.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of electrical construction estimating experience, proficiency with Accubid, and strong analytical and leadership skills to deliver accurate estimates on complex projects.

Qualifications

Associate degree or equivalent work experience in construction management or a related field.
Minimum 5-8 years of electrical construction experience in estimating, common code requirements, and design/build estimating.
Experience using Accubid or similar estimating software. Experience with field installation or similar work.
Skills to read, interpret and understand electrical contracts, plans, drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Must have extensive knowledge of electrical codes.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including high quality documentation and report preparation.
Strong leadership, independent problem-solving skills, detail orientation, time management and customer service skills.
In-depth skills and experience in project management. Thorough understanding of the project life cycle.

Responsibilities

Plans and coordinates the activities of each assigned project for quality and accuracy of work and leads the creation of bids, documents, and reports.
Secures and reviews quotes from subcontractors and plans all project take-offs to optimize labor efficiency.
Works with project managers and chief estimator to determine general expenses and labor rates for each project.
Collaborates with design, purchasing, and field teams to ensure constructible, cost-effective projects.
Utilizes estimating software to prepare accurate estimates and ensure alignment with client and company conditions.
Stays current with electrical codes, technologies, and practices; surveys job sites as needed for scope and cost optimization.
Coaches and mentors other estimators on large projects.
Occasional travel may be required.
