Job summary

Cupertino Electric, Inc. is seeking an Estimator IV to support the project management team by delivering high-quality electrical estimates on time. The role leads the estimating team, performs takeoffs, and develops systems and standards for electrical design/build work.

Minimum seven years in electrical estimating, with 5 years in a design/build contractor environment. Requires strong communication skills and teamwork; must be authorized to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of experience in electrical estimating.
• 5 years’ experience with a design/build contractor.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct and manage estimating team to timely and accurate completion of electrical estimates.
• Estimating takeoffs on projects.
• Provide leadership and training to develop skills of estimators and trainees.
• Conduct estimating system training for estimators, PMs and others as necessary.
• Create and communicate company standards for estimating electrical design/build and plans/specs work.
• May create, maintain and upgrade the company estimating system, database (units and prices) and assemblies.
• Communicate with PMs and general contractors to ensure high-quality estimates delivered on time.
• Manage quotation process with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure pricing includes all scope items.
