Job summary

Jobgether SRL partner company is seeking a Senior Editor based in the United States for a part-time contract to plan, edit, and produce a leading alpinism publication. You will work with the Editor-in-Chief and volunteer writers on reporting, long-form editing, research, and digital publishing across multiple channels.

You will contribute to photo and caption prep, online stories, newsletters, and podcast-related research, with strong editorial judgment and climbing knowledge guiding all work.

Qualifications

• Extensive climbing experience and deep knowledge of alpinism.
• Strong editorial judgment and long-form editing experience.
• Proven ability to edit climbing news or specialized journalism.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Collaborative approach and openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Edit expedition reports for accuracy and editorial quality.
• Collaborate with volunteer climber-writers and Editor-in-Chief on long-form pieces.
• Conduct research for journal, podcast, newsletter, website and other channels.
• Prepare photographs and captions for publication.
• Upload, edit, and maintain stories online.
• Support print publication planning and production.
• Take on additional editorial tasks with deadlines.
