Job summary

Emploive is seeking a hands-on Drupal Web Developer to own day-to-day site operations, publish new reports and content, and build templates for expanded content. You will manage security patches, module upgrades, and Section 508 accessibility remediation through a formal Change Request process.

You will collaborate with federal statisticians and communications staff, explaining technical tradeoffs in plain language while shipping content by deadlines. Primarily remote work with flexible hours.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of web development experience, with 3+ years on Drupal 9/10+ in production.
• Experience applying Drupal core and contributed module security updates on a recurring schedule.
• Strong PHP, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and Git skills.
• Experience building custom Drupal content types, views, templates, and themes.
• Knowledge of Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA and remediation tools (ANDI/axe/WAVE).
• Experience with QA: functional, regression, cross-browser, and responsive testing.
• Experience with change management and deployment across dev/stage/prod.

Responsibilities

• Publish new content, reports, and visualizations in Drupal HTML templates and structures.
• Design/build Drupal templates, content types, views, and layouts for expanded content.
• Apply monthly security patches and updates to maintain security posture.
• Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve site issues from users, scans, or monitoring.
• Manage Change Request processes and coordinate deployments across environments.
• Remediate security and accessibility findings (508) across templates and content.
• Perform QA: functional/regression/cross-browser/responsive testing and reporting.
