Job summary

ASRC NetCentric seeks a Senior Drupal SME to lead design, modernization, and integration of enterprise Drupal solutions within the DHS program. You will define architectures, establish standards, and guide module development to ensure secure and scalable implementations across cloud-hosted environments.

You will mentor teams, validate third-party modules, optimize performance, and ensure accessibility and compliance with DHS policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 11 years of progressive technical or functional experience in a selected technical area or specialty skill.
• US Citizen and ability to successfully complete a government issued background investigation.
• Microsoft Certification is preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust; prior Public Trust or Security Clearance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, modernization, and implementation strategies for enterprise Drupal solutions aligned with DHS standards and cloud-hosted environments.
• Define Drupal architectures (monolithic vs headless) and recommend optimal approaches for performance and integration.
• Establish architecture patterns, coding standards, and reusable modules for scalable, secure Drupal implementations.
• Guide creation and maintenance of custom Drupal modules, ensuring DHS policy, security, and SELC documentation compliance.
• Review and validate contributed modules to prevent bloat and mitigate security risks.
• Optimize Drupal performance via caching, content architecture, and rendering best practices.
• Architect Drupal integrations with DHS platforms (e.g., Okta SSO, data services, cloud hosting).
• Ensure Drupal apps operate across DHS environments and comply with security directives and NIST-aligned safeguards.
• Ensure accessibility per Section 508 WCAG 2.0 A/AA and document accordingly.
• Oversee testing (functional, regression, accessibility, usability, integration) within DHS Agile/SELC lifecycle.
• Provide guidance during releases, migrations, deployments, and environment setup with DevOps teams.
• Evaluate emerging Drupal capabilities and modernization pathways for DHS.
• Advise leadership on Drupal roadmap, platform consolidation, and reuse strategies.
• Mentor developers, analysts, and architects to promote best practices across Drupal projects.
• Produce SELC docs, diagrams, data flows, module specs, and user/developer guides.
• Support governance reviews, change control, and technical assessments for Drupal enhancements.
