Job summary

Corebridge Financial seeks a Director, Life Underwriting to assess medical and financial risk for individual life insurance while supporting sales. You will collaborate with Case Managers, Internal & External Wholesalers and NMO's/Firms in a customer-centric, relationship-driven environment.

Reporting to the Managing Underwriting Director, you will lead underwriting expertise, train internal and external stakeholders, and manage a sizable caseload in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with brokerage distribution marketplace.
• 5+ years of life underwriting experience with demonstrated competence and experience handling larger face amount cases.
• Approval authority up to $7,000,000.
• FLMI, FALU and/or CLU designations preferred or progress toward these designations.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite complex formal applications and informal quote applications within approval authority guidelines.
• Analyze information to formulate comprehensive medical and financial assessments.
• Manage change, negotiate positive results and handle cross-functional workflows.
• Independently interact with a sophisticated field force dealing with upscale markets.
