Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a remote role restricted to NC, TX, AZ, or GA. You will lead CI/CD, IaC, and cloud deployments, while collaborating with security and development teams to ensure production reliability.

The role requires deep experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, and cloud platforms. Strong automation and on-call support are essential in this fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in enterprise environments.
• Strong automation skills using Python, Bash, and IaC tooling.
• Hands-on with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Security-aware development and automated compliance checks in pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead CI/CD implementation and automate build, test, and deploy processes.
• Manage infrastructure with IaC tools to ensure scalable, consistent environments.
• Identify and automate manual tasks to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
• Monitor systems, perform root cause analysis and ensure reliability.
• Collaborate across Dev, QA, Security, and IT to improve delivery lifecycle.
• Work with OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker and cloud deployments.
• Provide on-call support and contribute to system enhancements and testing.
