Nelnet is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to architect and automate cloud infrastructure in Azure, using GitOps principles and IaC practices. You will build and secure CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, maintain Terraform modules, and integrate testing and security into automated deployments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with student lending applications and legacy systems, ensuring compliance and efficient delivery across environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
• Experience with IaC and cloud platforms is required.
• Strong understanding of security and compliance in cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Terraform modules for Azure resources.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions with security in mind.
• Automate infrastructure deployment, updates, and decommissioning while ensuring compliance.
• Manage IaC pipelines and ensure policies align with security standards.
• Oversee builds and deployments to production environments and provide release support.
