Moodle is seeking a Senior Manager, DevOps to lead a remote, high-performing team responsible for keeping our global infrastructure secure, scalable and reliable. You will oversee 24/7 monitoring, on-call rotations, customer upgrade migrations, and security certifications while collaborating with customers, vendors and internal stakeholders.

Ideal candidates bring extensive Linux/Unix administration experience, strong leadership, and hands-on expertise with cloud hosting (AWS), monitoring tools

Formación

• Extensive experience leading distributed, remote teams
• Strong customer-facing skills
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies
• Knowledge of high availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery
• 5+ years Linux/Unix admin experience with AWS infrastructure
• Scripting knowledge (Python, PHP, shell) is a plus
• US citizenship with ability to obtain security clearances

Responsabilidades

• Support DevOps team in managing client hosting infrastructure
• Lead the team in deployment, availability, performance and automation best practices
• Manage on-call rotation and incident response
• Provide technical recommendations to management
• Coordinate tasks for certification processes (SOC2, FedRamp, ISO)
• Develop and implement department-wide operational and security policies
• Assist Sales with scoping non-standard implementations
• Ensure availability and reliability of Moodle Services hosting platforms
• Coach and mentor DevOps team members
• Prioritize workloads and handle support requests
• Represent the DevOps team in customer meetings
• Align work with Global Head of Infrastructure priorities
• Be the face of the DevOps team across the company
• Own career development and performance of direct reports
