Job summary

Keeper Security is seeking a Senior DataDog Engineer to join our DevOps team in a 100% remote role with hybrid options for CA/IL candidates. The role centers on detection engineering, SIEM operations and security observability across production and corporate environments.

You will design, implement and tune Datadog-based detection rules, dashboards and pipelines with a focus on real-world threat scenarios and collaboration across Security Operations, Infrastructure and SRE.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Datadog experience in detection engineering, SIEM engineering and security observability.
• Hands-on production experience administering and engineering Datadog in complex cloud environments.
• Experience with Datadog Cloud SIEM, Log Management, Security Monitoring, dashboards and alerting.
• Knowledge of log pipelines, retention strategies and telemetry.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve Datadog Cloud SIEM, security monitoring and observability across production and corporate environments.
• Design and maintain detection and telemetry capabilities across Datadog, SentinelOne and Wiz.
• Develop, test and tune high-fidelity Datadog detection rules aligned to real-world attack scenarios.
• Improve alert quality by reducing false positives and noise.
• Build and optimize log ingestion, parsing, normalization and enrichment workflows.
• Collaborate with Security Operations, Engineering and SRE teams to enhance observability.
