Job summary

Experian is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to build fraud detection models that identify high-risk activity while minimizing friction for legitimate customers.

You will collaborate with senior data scientists and engineers from problem definition through feature engineering, experimentation, and deployment, writing clean code and bringing models to production. The role is remote within the United States and reports to the Sr. Manager of Fraud Analytics.

Qualifications

• Degree in CS, Stats, or related quantitative field required.
• Strong Python and ML fundamentals; model evaluation and feature selection.
• Experience with fraud analytics and production ML pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Explore data to identify fraud patterns and signals.
• Collaborate with senior scientists to translate questions into testable hypotheses.
• Build and evaluate ML models for fraud detection across lifecycle events.
• Develop and validate features using diverse data sources.
• Write clean, tested code and push models to production.
• Monitor models and support data privacy and governance standards.
