Job summary

Bollinger Shipyards is seeking a Senior Manager Data Science & AI to establish and scale enterprise AI capabilities across the organization. You will lead AI/ML initiatives from concept through deployment, partnering with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Enterprise Architecture to align with strategic priorities and enterprise operations.

The role requires 8+ years in data science/AI, 3+ years of leadership, and a strong background in modeling, optimization, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 8+ years of data science, AI, ML, or analytics.
• 3+ years of leadership experience.
• Proven enterprise AI/ML deployment experience.
• Strong background in statistical modeling, ML, analytics, and optimization.
• Experience with large enterprise datasets.
• Experience leading technical teams and enterprise-scale initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise AI/ML analytics roadmap.
• Identify and prioritize high-value AI use cases aligned to objectives.
• Lead model development for forecasting, cost estimation, scheduling, bidding optimization, and efficiency.
• Establish governance for model development, validation, deployment, and lifecycle.
• Ensure AI/ML solutions integrate into enterprise workflows and systems.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering for scalable datasets.
• Drive adoption and measurable business value from AI capabilities.
• Evaluate emerging AI tech and opportunities relevant to operations.
• Lead and develop data science and ML engineering resources.
• Ensure responsible, secure, compliant AI use of enterprise data.
• Establish KPIs and performance measures for AI initiatives.
