Job summary

YipitData is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. You will build and optimize end-to-end data pipelines, champion data modeling best practices, and create AI-ready datasets with robust metadata and documentation.

You’ll work on cutting-edge ETL tooling, collaborate with stakeholders, and potentially help grow the team as responsibilities expand. This is a remote India-based role with overlap with US hours.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of Spark, PySpark, and SQL.
• Experience building end-to-end data pipelines.
• Experience with Databricks and ETL tooling.
• Nice-to-have: Airflow, dbt, Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain end-to-end data pipelines.
• Set best practices for data modeling and pipelines.
• Create AI-ready analytical datasets with context and metadata.
• Resolve complex data pipeline issues using PySpark and SQL.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to apply business logic to central pipelines.
• Learn Databricks, Spark, AI, and internal ETL tooling.
